Mr. Khalifa Mohammed Alkhorafi, the Consul General of Kuwait in Guangzhou, attend the opening ceremony of "2019 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo"

In the morning of November 12^th (Tuesday), Mr. Khalifa Mohammed Alkhorafi, the Consul General of the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Guangzhou, attend the opening ceremony of "2019 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo" held in Guangzhou. The event was co-organized by Guangdong Intellectual Property Office, Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department and Macau Economic Bureau, aiming to strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights and promoting the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as a global technological innovation center. Mr. Chen Liangxian, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and Mr. He Zhimin, Deputy Director of State Intellectual Property Office of China, and Mr. Li Ming, Vice Mayor of the People's Government of Guangzhou municipality, and senior officers of international organizations concerned with the protection of intellectual property rights. In addition to the presidents of technology universities and the heads of major international companies, such as Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and Gree Electric Co., Ltd. and Qualcomm Inc. After the opening ceremony, several seminars were held with focuses on the topics of promoting development supported by scientific and technological innovation within the framework of the protection of intellectual property right.

Mr. Khalifa expressed the importance of being present in such events, which involve government agencies and private enterprise, in order to conduct business and participate in decision-making, especially in the field of protecting intellectual property rights, China is also striving to implement the intellectual property laws. Mr. Khalifa also stressed the importance of the Greater Bay Area project to China, a project that aims to unite the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong and Macao to create a huge integrated economic and trade zone.
