Mr. Khalifa Mohammed Alkhorafi, the Consul General of Kuwait in Guangzhou, met with Ms. Zhanghua, the Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce

Mr. Khalifa Mohammed Alkhorafi, the Consul General of the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Guangzhou, presented a meeting to the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce. In the morning of December 16^th (Monday), Ms. Zhanghua, the Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce welcomed and received Mr. Alkhorafi. During the meeting, the two sides stated that the "New Kuwait 2035 Vision" proposed by His Highness the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, is highly consistent with the "Belt and Road" initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and in this context, they discussed how to strengthen business and economic ties between Guangdong Province and Kuwait. Mr. Alkhorafi said that since H.E. Kuwaiti Emir's visit to China last July, the friendly relations between the two countries have been further consolidated and the signing of a number of cooperation agreements has promoted the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries. Mr. Alkhorafi emphasized that more efforts should be made to turn the cooperation agreements into a concrete reality. In addition, Mr. Alkhorafi pointed out the importance of establishing cooperative relations between relevant Kuwaiti institutions and the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce, and believed that the Federation of Industry and Commerce will play an important role in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting effective development cooperation. Ms. Zhang, the Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce, valued the visit of the Consul General and said that this was the first visit by Kuwaiti officials, and stressed that the Federation would work hard to promote cooperation between Guangdong and Kuwait.
