Kuwait is a constitutional monarchy emirate with democratic parliamentary system, it is manifested in its National Assembly which has legislative power. Kuwait is located in the northeast of the Arabian Gulf, it is bounded on the northwest by the Republic of Iraq and on the south by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Kuwait was formerly known as "Kutu" (KUT) which means a small castle (it was built near the coast).
